277-Crore Budget Approved at Nainital Dugdh Sangh’s 75th Annual General Meeting; Milk Price Increased by ₹2 per Litre

Lalkuan (Nainital): The 75th Annual General Meeting of Nainital Dugdh Utpadak Sahkari Sangh Ltd. concluded with the unanimous approval of a budget worth ₹277.84 crore for the financial year 2025–26. The meeting also brought good news for milk producers as the price of milk will be increased by ₹2 per litre starting February 2026.

Event Highlights

The meeting, which lasted for nearly five hours, was inaugurated with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony by Haldwani Mayor Gajraj Singh Bisht, District Panchayat Chairperson Deepa Darmwal, Minister of State Suresh Bhatt, BJP State General Secretary Tarun Bansal, and Dugdh Sangh President Mukesh Bora.

During the session, several dairy producers shared their concerns and suggestions, which were discussed in detail before being incorporated into new proposals.

Welfare Announcements for Dairy Farmers

In his address, President Mukesh Bora highlighted that the Uttarakhand State Government is continuously working toward the welfare of dairy farmers and livestock owners.
He announced that the Nainital Dugdh Sangh has launched special welfare schemes for dairy farmers living in remote hilly regions, dairy society secretaries, and women involved in milk production.

Bora further added that dairy producers are being provided with milk incentive payments in a timely manner. He encouraged all farmers to make full use of the welfare programs designed for their benefit.

Release of Souvenir and Recognition Awards

The event also witnessed the release of the Dugdh Sangh’s annual souvenir, marking 75 years of cooperative success.

In recognition of outstanding milk production, Kripal Singh from Lalupur Tila (Lalkuan) was honored with the prestigious Gokul Award for producing 68,536 litres of milk in one year.

Additionally, three dairy producers from the hill region and three from the plains were felicitated for achieving the highest milk production in their respective areas.

Distinguished Guests and Participation

The meeting was attended by several dignitaries, including Mandi Parishad Chairman Anil Kapoor Dabbou, Registrar of Dairy Development Department Ashok Joshi, Managing Director Sanjay Upadhyay, and General Manager Anurag Sharma.
Hundreds of dairy committee presidents and members of the Sangh’s managing board were also present.

The program was efficiently conducted by Administrative Manager Sanjay Bhakuni, while President Mukesh Bora extended his gratitude to all guests and participants. He also urged dairy producers to actively benefit from the government and cooperative schemes aimed at their development.
