Dehradun:- At the ‘Hindustan Shikhar Samagam’ program held at a hotel in Malasi, Dehradun, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami shared important insights. He stated that as the chief servant of the state, all his decisions are in line with the sentiments of the public. He confirmed that the Uniform Civil Code would soon be implemented in the state, ensuring equal rights for all citizens.
The Chief Minister expressed concern over demographic changes in Uttarakhand, emphasizing that the government is taking this issue seriously and will not tolerate any such changes. He provided updates on ongoing actions against illegal encroachments, highlighting that the state government is consistently removing illegal constructions through legal processes.
Additionally, he mentioned the implementation of anti-conversion laws and anti-riot laws in Uttarakhand. The Chief Minister also spoke about ongoing efforts to provide employment and self-employment opportunities for the youth, noting that Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) worth ₹3.54 lakh crores have been signed under the Uttarakhand Global Investor Summit.
He emphasized that development projects are being carried out while maintaining a balance between ecology and economy. The Chief Minister pointed out that Uttarakhand is the first state in the country to initiate Global Environment Protection (GEP), which is a significant step toward environmental conservation.
Regarding the Char Dham pilgrimage, the Chief Minister stated that it is the lifeline of the state’s economy and ensuring safe travel for pilgrims is the state government’s top priority. To strengthen travel arrangements, a travel authority is being established, which will also incorporate suggestions from stakeholders related to the pilgrimage.
In conclusion, the Chief Minister reiterated his government’s commitment to the development of Uttarakhand, assuring that all aspects will be taken into consideration while working toward progress.
