Dehradun, Uttarakhand – A delegation from the Uttarakhand Unemployed Union and technical diploma holders met Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami at his official residence today. The representatives thanked the Chief Minister for taking a transparent and sensitive decision by cancelling an examination following reports of irregularities.
The Union members expressed their appreciation, stating that the government’s action reflects its commitment to fairness and its respect for the emotions of the youth. They called the decision “historic,” highlighting that such prompt and transparent action has restored the faith of unemployed youth in the state’s recruitment process.
Government Committed to Fair and Transparent Recruitment: CM Dhami
During the meeting, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reaffirmed that the state government is fully committed to a merit-based and transparent recruitment system. He stated clearly that Uttarakhand will continue its Zero Tolerance policy towards corruption, cheating, or the use of unfair means in recruitment examinations.
The Chief Minister said that no injustice will be tolerated against the hard work and talent of the youth. He emphasized that under the newly implemented anti-cheating law, transparency and trust have been strengthened in the examination system. Anyone found attempting to influence or manipulate the exam process will face the strictest legal action, he warned.
Ensuring Fair Opportunities for Every Eligible Candidate
CM Dhami assured the youth that every eligible candidate in Uttarakhand will receive a fair opportunity to compete. He reiterated that the government is continuously working to ensure that all recruitment examinations are conducted in a transparent and trustworthy manner.
“The honesty, dedication, and hard work of Uttarakhand’s youth are the greatest assets of our state,” said Chief Minister Dhami, adding that the government remains steadfast in protecting their interests.
Union’s Suggestions Welcomed by the Chief Minister
The representatives of the Unemployed Union requested that the anti-cheating measures be further strengthened in future examinations and that the recruitment process be conducted in a timely manner. CM Dhami welcomed their suggestions and said that transparent recruitment is the hallmark of good governance, reaffirming the government’s continuous efforts in this direction. Present on the occasion were Union President Shri Ram Kandwal and other office bearers.
