Defence minister, Rajnath Singh Inaugurates 75 Infrastructure Projects in Uttarakhand

New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated 75 major infrastructure projects constructed by the Border Roads Organisation today. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was virtually present for the occasion. Among these, 09 projects are located in the state of Uttarakhand, which will significantly contribute to the region’s development journey.

Inaugurated Projects in Uttarakhand
The 09 projects inaugurated in Uttarakhand include the Karcha Bridge, Ming Gadera Bridge, Ghastoli Bridge, Pagal Nala Bridge in the Garhwal region, and the Shivalik project office and residence in Dehradun district. In the Kumaon region, the Suringghat Bridge, Chimla Bridge, Panagarh Bridge, and Gosigarh Bridge were also inaugurated. All these projects are expected to be crucial for the development of remote and marginalized areas.

Contributing to Socio-Economic Development
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his gratitude to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, stating that these infrastructure projects will assist in transforming the state’s landscape by enhancing connectivity and promoting socio-economic development. He mentioned that these projects will not only boost tourism and the local economy but also create new employment opportunities. The construction of new bridges will reduce travel time, aiding in establishing Uttarakhand as a major tourist destination. This event was also attended by Secretary R. Meenakshi Sundaram, Shailesh Bagoli, Chief Engineer of the Shivalik project Brigadier Prasanna Joshi, and Colonel Pradeep Sharma.
