District Magistrate Leads Meeting on Parking Improvement in Dehradun

Dehradun: A joint meeting was held at the municipal corporation office under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Savin Basnal to discuss the strengthening of parking facilities in the city. The future action plan will be developed based on public suggestions and feedback from esteemed representatives.

Directions for Traffic and Parking Improvement

During the meeting, the District Magistrate issued instructions to explore possibilities for improving the major issue of traffic and parking in Dehradun city. He directed officials to prepare proposals for sites where work can be started immediately so that proposals can be sent to the government on time. Officials reported that several locations in the city have been identified for parking.

Discussion on Automated Mechanical Parking

The District Magistrate instructed departmental officials to work in coordination and provide suggestions. The meeting discussed that automated mechanical parking is an assembly parking system that can be relocated from one place to another, and its cost is significantly lower than permanent construction.

The meeting was attended by Chief Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Kumar, Chief Development Officer Abhinav Shah, City Magistrate Pratyush Singh, Traffic Superintendent Mukesh Kumar, Deputy Municipal Commissioner Gopal Ram Binwal, Chief Engineer of LONIVI Shri Amit, Executive Engineer LONIVI Jitendra Kumar Tripathi, Executive Engineer NH Doonwala Navneet Pandey, Executive Engineer UPCL Gaurav Saklani, Executive Engineer MDDA Atul Gupta, and SDO UPCL Bablu Singh, along with officials from relevant departments.
