Most of these are in the sub 4 meter segment. Customers buying entry level and premium hatchbacks are turning their minds to the micro or compact SUV segment. According to the information, there are three models in the segment, which include Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Tata Punch and Hyundai exter.

If we talk about the month of July, then Maruti Suzuki Fronx was able to overtake Tata Punch. It was the best selling car in the segment for a long time. Maruti sold 13,220 units of Franks last month, while a total of 12,019 units of Punch were sold during this period. Apart from this, Hyundai’s newly launched exter was at number three with a sale of 7,000 thousand units. A total of 32 thousand 239 units were sold in this segment last month. Also, let us tell you that Tata Punch is available in the market at an ex-showroom price of 6 lakh to 10.10 lakh. It gets a 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. Which has managed to generate an output of 86bhp and 113Nm.
At the same time, 13 variants of Maruti Fronx are available in the market with availability. Whose ex-showroom price is between Rs 7.47 lakh to Rs 13.14 lakh. Also, it generates power of 100 bhp and 90 bhp. Both get manual and AMT gearbox options.
