Ritika’s Startup in Dehradun; Donates Half of its Earnings to Animal Welfare

Dehradun: The serene landscapes of the mountains not only calm the youth from within but also contribute to their positive mindset. The youth of Devbhoomi (Land of the Gods) are a testament to this. Today, we are going to talk about Ritika Sadana, a young woman from Dehradun who has taken an initiative to serve nature and the earth.

Introducing Ritika Sadana and EcoKarma

Ritika Sadana, who lives with her father Naresh Kumar and mother Sunita Sadana in Johri village, Rajpur Road, Dehradun, runs EcoKarma. This company produces various biodegradable and eco-friendly products. These products do not cause pollution and are safe for both consumers and animals.

Eco-Friendly Products of EcoKarma

EcoKarma manufactures and packages items such as paper pencils, bamboo toothbrushes, recycled paper pens, bamboo and wheat straws, coconut shell products, eco-stationery, bath, and beauty products. The first products under the brand Karma were made in 2019. Ritika Sadana explains that the goal has always been to create sustainable and nature-friendly products.

Educational Background and Nature Service

Ritika completed her schooling at Doon International School and graduated from DAV College in 2012. She also pursued CA Intermediate. However, her love for nature and desire for public service led her to work with various NGOs. Ritika was associated with the NGO Waste Warrior for five years.

Love for Dogs and Establishing EcoKarma

A dog lover since childhood, Ritika always wanted to work towards establishing a dog shelter. This dream inspired her to create a company dedicated to eco-friendly products. Thus, Ritika is not only living her dream but also playing a crucial role in preserving nature. Notably, 50% of the company’s profits are spent on animal welfare.
