Haldwani: Manish Pandey: Just like the mountains, the inner strength of the youth from the hills is strong, stable, and vibrant. This is why, despite facing difficult circumstances in life, the youth from the hills are making their mark every day through hard work. Given even a small opportunity, they put in their utmost effort to turn it into success. Many young people in the media industry have charted a path from struggle to success, and among them is the young Pankaj Jeena, who is now gaining fame as a radio jockey.

Early Life: A Simple Childhood in the Hills

Pankaj Jeena hails from a small village named Chopra in the Jeolikot area of the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. His childhood was quite ordinary, spent working in the fields, tending to buffaloes, and playing traditional mountain games. In the educational system of a mountain village, where a child can pursue studies with seriousness, Pankaj’s education was as serious as it could be. However, Pankaj wanted to do something different, and the world of radio provided him with the opportunity to choose a new path.

The Beginning: Discovering a Passion for Radio

Pankaj was so captivated by the world of radio that he decided to dedicate his life to it. In this journey, he first joined Radio Kumaon Vani. This was where Pankaj was introduced to the world of radio. To reach the Radio Kumaon Vani center, Pankaj would undertake a four-hour trek from his village. His passion for radio drove him to make this effort. Being from a hilly area, Pankaj had issues with pronunciation and grammar in the Hindi language. To rectify this, Pankaj decided to join a theater group. He also spent months away from his family and village to improve his Hindi pronunciation and grammar.

Breakthrough Moment: A Chance from Radio FM

Hard work eventually pays off. One day, the CEO of the major radio station Radio FM heard Pankaj Jeena’s voice and decided to give him a chance. At that time, Pankaj was working at Radio Kumaon Vani while also studying Mass Communication at DSB Campus. The opportunity from Radio FM was a significant break for Pankaj. He went to Radio FM, learned about the radio industry, and received training from prominent radio jockey RJ Raunak. During this time, Pankaj worked hard and refined his skills.
