Two children from Uttarakhand have a special connection to the Tokyo Olympics, and the entire state is talking about it. Nirmal Bhatt from Champawat and Iditri Goyal from Haldwani are gaining significant attention during the Tokyo Olympics.
Nirmal Bhatt from Balatadi Jamlek
Firstly, let’s talk about Nirmal Bhatt, a native of Balatadi Jamlek in Champawat, who has appeared in an advertisement created by Coca-Cola. This advertisement has been made with the Tokyo Olympics in mind. The ad, produced for the beverage brand Thums Up, showcases the biography of wrestler Bajrang Punia. Nirmal has played the role of Bajrang Punia’s childhood in this advertisement. Nirmal Bhatt is receiving praise throughout Uttarakhand for winning hearts with his acting at just 14 years old. The ad was directed by Shashank Chaturvedi, also known as Bob, who has worked with famous Bollywood personalities, and it features the voice of renowned Bhojpuri cinema actor and Gorakhpur MP, Ravi Kishan. Nirmal Bhatt has aspired to pursue a career in acting since childhood and has attended acting workshops at the National School of Drama (NSD) in Delhi three times.
Iditri Goyal from Haldwani
Uttarakhand’s Haldwani resident, Iditri Goyal, also has a significant connection to the Tokyo Olympics. Iditri Goyal from Haldwani has designed the clothes for Indian athletes participating in the Olympics. The 27-year-old Iditri, who resides in Vaishali Colony on Nainital Road, is the only fashion design consultant from Uttarakhand for the Indian Olympic Association. She applied for this role, and her designs were liked by the association. While designing the clothes, she considered Indian culture, tradition, and aesthetics. Iditri studied at Nirmala Convent in Haldwani up to the intermediate level, excelling in both high school and intermediate exams. She then moved to Delhi for further studies and graduated with a BA from the renowned Miranda House.
