“Uttarakhand CM Approves ₹56.30 Lakh Relief for Businesses Affected by Heavy Rainfall in Kedarnath Region”

Dehradun:- The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, has provided significant relief to businesses affected by the heavy rainfall in the Kedarnath region on July 31 this year. An additional amount of ₹56.30 lakh has been approved from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for businesses impacted by the damage to pedestrian and motor roads between Lincholi and Sonprayag. Previously, the Chief Minister had already sanctioned ₹9 crore and 8 lakh for the affected businesses.

In a letter addressed to the District Magistrate of Rudraprayag, Chief Minister’s Secretary Shri Shailesh Bagoli has informed that this additional amount of ₹56.30 lakh has been approved at the request of the district administration. This funding is in addition to the previously approved ₹9 crore and 8 lakh.

Secretary Bagoli stated that after thorough consideration at the government level, it was decided under the Chief Minister’s directives that this amount would be sanctioned from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to compensate those affected by the heavy rainfall between Lincholi and Sonprayag, based on the proposal received from the District Magistrate of Rudraprayag.

He also clarified that before the distribution of the approved amount, all cases would be examined according to the relevant government orders. Payments will be processed only after a thorough verification and satisfaction regarding the affected parties. Efforts will be made to ensure that payments are made through e-banking wherever possible. In areas where e-banking facilities are not available, the funds will be distributed via demand drafts.

Additionally, instructions have been given to secure the details of all beneficiaries, including their names, addresses, and telephone numbers, at the district level after the distribution of the funds from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
