Uttarakhand Government to Provide Free Coaching to 10,000 Students, A Step Toward Equal Education Opportunity

Uttarakhand News: Free Coaching: In a significant step towards promoting equal educational opportunities, the Uttarakhand Government has announced a free coaching scheme for 10,000 students belonging to economically weaker sections. This initiative aims to support deserving candidates in preparing for various competitive examinations at both general and advanced levels.

Review Meeting Held Under Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan

A review meeting was held at the Secretariat auditorium under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan to discuss the progress and quality of the scheme. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary instructed the Education Department to ensure the quality of coaching and to conduct a transparent screening process for student selection. He emphasized that the training schedules should be designed keeping in mind the convenience of the aspirants.

Ensuring Quality and Measurable Results

Chief Secretary Bardhan made it clear that there should be no formality or negligence in the implementation of the free coaching scheme. The outcomes of the initiative must be visible and measurable. He also directed officials to complete all necessary formalities at the earliest to ensure timely commencement of the program.

Structure of the Coaching Program

Director of Education Dr. Mukul Kumar Sati informed that 10,000 students will be provided free coaching this year. Students studying in Class 11 will receive two years of coaching, while those who have completed Class 12 will get one year of preparation. The coaching will be available for Arts, Science, and Commerce streams and will cover almost all major competitive examinations.

Special Provision for Meritorious Students

To further strengthen the initiative, a six-year advanced coaching program has also been proposed for meritorious students. This long-term preparation will help them perform better in higher-level competitive exams, enhancing their chances of success in national-level opportunities.

Officials Present at the Meeting

The review meeting was attended by Secretary Dilip Jawalkar, Additional Secretary Manuj Goyal, and several other senior officials from the Education Department.

This initiative by the Uttarakhand Government is expected to create a strong foundation for thousands of young aspirants, helping them fulfill their dreams through guided and quality preparation.
