CM Dhami Calls ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ a National Movement

Dehradun: Uttarakhand: Pariksha Pe Charcha: National Movement: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Pariksha Pe Charcha programme at St. Agnes School, Nashvilla Road. Addressing students during the event, the Chief Minister said that the ninth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha has evolved beyond a simple interaction and has now become a national movement.

CM Dhami stated that the Prime Minister’s message teaches students that examinations are an important phase of life, but not life itself. Sharing his own school experiences, he emphasized that school life is extremely valuable and does not return. He encouraged students to actively participate not only in academics but also in sports and other creative activities.

Describing examinations as an opportunity, the Chief Minister said that students should face them like warriors—with confidence, patience, and calmness—to give their best performance. He added that success is not limited to passing exams alone, as life offers many other goals and possibilities. He urged students to set clear goals, move forward with proper priorities, and achieve success with a positive mindset free from exam-related stress. He also appealed to parents to avoid putting unnecessary pressure on children and to refrain from comparing them with others.

CM Dhami further informed that under Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026, more than four crore students, teachers, and parents across the country have registered, a participation level that is set to break previous Guinness World Records. From Uttarakhand alone, around seven lakh students, over 53,000 teachers, and more than 14,000 parents have registered this year, compared to 2.98 lakh students last year.

It was also shared during the programme that one of the ten inspirational videos created by students from Uttarakhand has been selected at the national level. The selected video was prepared by Rohan Singh Rana, a student of Government Higher Secondary School, Pala Kurali, Jakholi block, Rudraprayag district. Rohan Singh Rana has been invited to Delhi to participate in the Prime Minister’s programme, bringing pride to the entire state.

The event was attended by Director General of Education Deepti Singh, Director of Secondary Education Dr. Mukul Kumar Sati, teachers, and a large number of school students.
