FASTag system to begin at all three Nainital toll booths from next month

Nainital News, FASTag System, Uttarakhand Update: Tourists and local residents travelling to Nainital may soon get relief from long queues at toll booths. The FASTag system is expected to start at all three toll booths of Nainital from next month. Preparations for the new system are currently underway and approval has been sought from the National Highways Authority of India.

Efforts to reduce traffic congestion and improve transparency

With the implementation of FASTag, vehicles will be able to cross toll booths more smoothly without stopping for cash payments. Officials believe the system will help reduce traffic congestion during peak tourist seasons and will also bring transparency in toll collection.

According to the report, the municipal board has started preparations to connect the toll booths with the FASTag system. Technical arrangements and approvals are being processed so that the system can become operational from next month.

Relief expected for tourists visiting Nainital
