Final Voter List Released in Uttarakhand, Total of 7,158,949 Voters Registered

Voter List: Uttarakhand Elections: Dehradun: The final voter list for Uttarakhand has been released following the completion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. According to the final list issued on October 3, a total of 7,158,949 voters are registered in the state. During the revision process, the names of 129,872 new voters were added to the list.

Chief Electoral Officer Dr. BVRC Purushottam provided details regarding the data from the final voter list. The Election Department verified the names already on the list during the SIR process and completed the procedure for including eligible new voters.

Prior to the SIR, approximately 7,960,762 voters were registered in the state. Subsequently, the draft voter list released on July 14 showed a reduced count of 7,133,785 voters. Following the resolution of claims and objections and the addition of new names, the number of voters in the final list rose to 7,158,949.

SIR Process Began on June 8 in Uttarakhand

The Special Intensive Revision process in Uttarakhand commenced on June 8. At that time, 7,960,762 voters were registered on the state’s voter list. The draft voter list was subsequently published on July 14.

After the draft list was released, voters were given the opportunity to file claims and objections. The final list was prepared following the scrutiny and verification of the claims and objections received by the Election Department. Key Statistics of the Final Electoral Roll

Increase in the number of voters in the final roll

Following the publication of the draft electoral roll, the process of resolving claims and objections was completed. During this period, the names of eligible individuals were added to the electoral roll. Consequently, the total number of voters in the final roll increased compared to the draft roll.

Campaign for eligible voters who were left out

According to the Election Department, a special campaign will be conducted for eligible citizens who have not yet been able to get their names included in the electoral roll. Eligible citizens will be able to apply for inclusion in the electoral roll by following the prescribed procedure.

During the SIR process, voter details, including names, addresses, and other particulars were verified. With the release of the final electoral roll, the updated voter statistics regarding the upcoming elections in Uttarakhand have become clear.
