On Friday, Ekta Bisht reached Haldwani where she appealed to people to stay aware and participate actively in cleanliness efforts across the city.
Campaign to focus on cleanliness and environmental awareness
Haldwani Mayor Gajraj Singh Bisht said that Ekta Bisht has brought pride to Uttarakhand through her achievements at the international level. He described her as a source of inspiration for youth and women across the state.
The Mayor said that with Ekta Bisht joining the campaign, cleanliness drives, environmental protection efforts and social awareness programmes will receive a stronger identity and wider public participation.
The Municipal Corporation will organise several programmes to make the city cleaner and more aware regarding sanitation and environmental responsibility. Ekta Bisht will actively participate in these campaigns and awareness activities in the coming days.
