Mount Kilimanjaro | Uttarakhand Youth | Pushkar Singh Dhami: Master Riyansh Pant and Prisha Rawat, two young mountaineers from Uttarakhand who successfully scaled Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, met with Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The Chief Minister congratulated both children on their achievement and extended his best wishes for their bright future.
Chief Minister Dhami remarked that reaching a challenging peak like Mount Kilimanjaro at such a young age reflects the children’s courage, self-confidence, and strong determination. He stated that Riyansh Pant and Prisha Rawat have brought glory to Uttarakhand through their achievement.
Nine-year-old Riyansh Pant is a resident of Chinakhan in Almora, while 10-year-old Prisha Rawat hails from Bailparao in the Nainital district. Both successfully completed the climb of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, standing at 5,895 meters on August 22, 2026. Upon reaching the summit, they hoisted the Tricolour and brought pride to the nation.
The Chief Minister said that the success of these two children would inspire other children and youth in the state to set ambitious goals and achieve them. There is no shortage of talent and courage among the youth of Uttarakhand.
He noted that the state’s youth are consistently performing well in mountaineering, sports, and other adventure activities, thereby bringing renown to Uttarakhand both within the country and abroad.
The Chief Minister stated that the state government is continuously working to encourage young talent and provide them with better opportunities for advancement. The government aims to ensure that talented children and youth in the state receive the right platforms and opportunities to showcase their potential.
