Achieved 42nd Place
It should be noted that Ankita Dhyani hails from Meruda village in the Lansdowne Tehsil area of Pauri Garhwal district. Ankita secured the 42nd position in the rankings, which qualified her for the Paris Olympics. Currently, Ankita is undergoing training at the Indian camp in Bengaluru. Recently, she participated in the 63rd National Inter-State Athletics Championship held in Panchkula, Himachal Pradesh. Competing in the 5000-meter race of this championship, Ankita not only completed her race in 16 minutes and 10.31 seconds but also left her competitors far behind to secure the first place and win the gold medal. Previously, Ankita has performed exceptionally well in numerous national and international competitions, earning many medals to her name.
Won Many Medals
Ankita’s father, Mahimanand Dhyani, and mother, Lakshmi Devi, shared that Ankita first participated in a national-level competition in the eighth grade. Since then, she has never looked back. She also won a silver medal at the Asian Indoor Athletics Championship held in Tehran. The family is overjoyed with Ankita’s achievements.
