Pauri: Uttarakhand: Yogi Adityanath: CM Pushkar Singh Dhami: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lauded the leadership of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for steering the state towards development while safeguarding its religious and cultural heritage. He was addressing the inauguration ceremony of a newly constructed Inter College building at the sacred and historic land of Yamkeshwar Mahadev in Pauri district.
CM Yogi said that Devbhoomi Uttarakhand is today touching new heights of development while preserving its spiritual and cultural values, setting an inspiring example for other states across the country. He noted that after completing its silver jubilee of statehood, Uttarakhand has entered a new era of growth and transformation.
Addressing the gathering, CM Yogi Adityanath stated that the Uttarakhand government is working with equal commitment towards strengthening education, healthcare, roads, electricity, and infrastructure, along with the protection of Sanatan culture and religious sites. He emphasized that true development is not merely physical progress but a balanced advancement rooted in culture, values, and social ethics.
Highlighting the importance of education, CM Yogi said that the construction of modern educational institutions in sacred regions like Yamkeshwar Mahadev reflects the state government’s priority towards promoting education in rural and hilly areas. He described the newly inaugurated Inter College building as a strong foundation for the bright future of children in the region, ensuring access to quality education within their villages.
Referring to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, CM Yogi said that India’s education system is undergoing a major transformation. The policy focuses on holistic development rather than rote learning, preparing students for real-life challenges. He added that India’s ancient Gurukul tradition has always emphasized values, self-reliance, and hard work, and today these principles are being carried forward in a modern framework.
During the programme, CM Yogi also recalled an incident from the COVID-19 pandemic when students from Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand were stranded in Kota, Rajasthan, and other places. He shared that when the then Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat requested assistance, the Uttar Pradesh government ensured the safe transportation of Uttarakhand students to Dehradun and Haldwani, reflecting inter-state cooperation during times of crisis.
CM Yogi stated that cooperation and sensitivity among states during emergencies are the true hallmarks of good governance. Praising Uttarakhand’s administrative approach, he said the state has consistently placed public welfare at the forefront in disaster management, education, healthcare, and the conservation of religious and cultural heritage.
Emphasizing the role of villages, CM Yogi said that villages are the roots of the nation, and when the roots are strong, the tree of development flourishes. Transforming villages into hubs of education, technology, and innovation is the need of the hour, and Uttarakhand’s efforts align closely with the vision of Gram Swaraj.
He further appreciated the expansion of electricity, road connectivity, education, and digital infrastructure in rural areas, calling it a positive step towards Atmanirbhar Bharat. CM Yogi also acknowledged the contributions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, former Chief Minister and Haridwar MP Trivendra Singh Rawat, Education and Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, and other public representatives.
Expressing confidence in the future, CM Yogi said that Devbhoomi Uttarakhand will continue to emerge stronger by presenting an ideal model of development rooted in Sanatan culture and inclusive growth.
